OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Channel 9 has learned more details about the cause of Madeline Soto.

She’s the 13-year-old girl that was killed back in February.
The suspect in her death, Stephan Sterns, was her mother’s boyfriend.

Sterns is behind bars in Osceola County and is facing several charges, including first-degree murder.
Investigators have released new recordings of phone calls made by Sterns to his parents in May.

Hundreds of pages of documents were also released by the state attorney this week.
