Orlando City Council on May 15 will consider an amendment to its annual service funding agreement with the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority — the public bus and paratransit agency better known as Lynx — which would provide up to $500,000 for Lynx to run a pilot program with Orlando-based Beep Inc.

Beep already runs an autonomous electric shuttle service in Orlando’s Lake Nona neighborhood with multiple routes, as well as in other parts of the U.S., providing first- and last-mile transportation.
