ORLANDO, Fla. — The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority announced Thursday that Tiffany Homler Hawkins would be the new chief executive officer.
Hawkins, former chief administrative officer with LYNX, has served as interim CEO following the unexpected passing of James Harrison in 2022.

A University of Central Florida graduate Hawkins has worked with or for the agency for more than 20 years.
Orange County Mayor and LYNX board chair Jerry Demings praised Hawkins for her leadership through challenging times.

“Tiffany stepped into an unfortunate situation when her friend and mentor passed away last summer. She brought a calming leadership presence during a difficult time in the interim, including dealing with two hurricanes,” Demings said.

Hawkins said she is thankful for the opportunity to continue leading the agency.
“To the LYNX family, thank you for trusting me and for carrying out Jim’s legacy these past six months. Your commitment to the Central Florida community amazes me every single day. I am grateful for all of you,” she said.
