Looking for a new furry friend? Halifax Humane Society discounting adoption fees through the weekend

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — If you’re looking to add a new furry friend to your family, the Halifax Humane Society needs your help.

The agency is over capacity and looking for adopters.

It is discounting adoption fees by 50% for dogs and cats that are a year old and older, until Sunday.

The shelter has more than 150 dogs and more than 90 cats available for adoption.

The adoption fees for rabbits, guinea pigs and other critters are 50% off regardless of age, according to the Halifax Humane Society.

The humane society said it is preparing to make more room for incoming animals.
