BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A local sonar group said they have found the remains of a Brevard County woman who has been missing for more than a decade.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that remains found belong to Katya Belaya.
Original Story:
Katya Belaya was last seen at her home on Rock Springs Drive in Melbourne in Sep. 2014 after telling her daughter that she was taking a trip to the store.
On Dec. 20, Sunshine State Sonar said they found Belaya’s Honda Odyssey minivan in a retention pond less than two miles from her home.
The group said they found her van upside down, buried under 24 feet of water with the remains inside.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a van and remains were found.

DNA tests are still pending to confirm the identity.
