Local firm buys land next to under-construction Costco in Clermont

A Winter Garden-based developer has bought two prime parcels in the Plaza Collina mixed-use center being built in Clermont.

An entity related to WMG Development paid $8.6 million for adjacent properties totaling 5.7 acres on Aug. 9, Lake County records show — or a little over $1.5 million per acre.

The seller was Plaza Collina (Orlando) ASLI VI LLLP, an entity related to Winter Park-based Avanti Properties Group.
