Lake County and Seminole County school districts will debate mandating face masks in schools on Thursday.
Last month, Seminole County school leaders said that students were required to wear masks in the classroom, unless their parents say otherwise. Now, they will decide if they want to make them mandatory.
In Lake County, face masks remain optional.

Gov. Ron DeSantis filed an order that bans districts from imposing student mask mandates, however; a judge ruled that DeSantis overstepped his authority by issuing an executive order banning the mandates.
DeSantis is expected to appeal the decision.

Seminole County school leaders will meet at 8:30 a.m. to discuss mandating mask.
School leaders in Lake County will meet at 9:30 a.m.
