Deputies seek to question woman who grabbed girl’s arm at apartment complex near Clermont

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Lake County detectives released a composite sketch Thursday in hopes of identifying a woman who grabbed a girl’s arm earlier this month at an apartment complex near Clermont.

Deputies said the encounter happened between 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 6 near a playground at the Raintree Apartments near U.S. 27 and County Road 474.

Investigators said a white or light-skinned Hispanic woman grabbed the 9-year-old’s arm while she was walking her dog.

They said the girl’s dog might have bitten the woman on the leg before she ran away.

The woman is 5 feet, 3 inches tall, slender, and has blonde, shoulder-length hair. She is believed to be between 29 and 35 years old.

Deputies said she was wearing a pink-striped dress and black sunglasses and had a tattoo of the sun on her right shoulder.

Detectives said they would like to question the woman about the incident.
