LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — A Lake County man claimed a $1 million prize from the new “GOLD RUSH LIMITED” scratch-off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Brian Nelson, 26, of Leesburg, made the trip to Tallahassee to claim his prize with his fiancée of one month, Emily Pelton.

“You won’t believe what he’s most excited about buying with his winnings,” Pelton told the Lottery. Nelson laughed and said, “I’m just looking forward to upgrading to an electric toothbrush and splurging on a good pair of flip flops.”

Nelson purchased his winning ticket from Quik Mart at 11100 California Street in Leesburg.

The Quik Mart will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

The Lottery’s newest $20 scratch-off game, GOLD RUSH LIMITED, features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million. Additionally, the ticket is filled with over 33,000 prizes of $1,000 to $100,000, lottery officials said.
