Lady Lake prepares for inaugural Independence Day fireworks display

LADY LAKE , Fla. — Get your blankets, picnic baskets, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.

The town of Lady Lake will launch its inaugural Independence Day fireworks celebration, which will happen July 1.

The town will partner with the Lady Lake Orange Blossom Gardens Lions Club for the event.

Zambelli Fireworks, who has been sending up amazing fireworks displays for 100 years, will illuminate the sky with an 18-minute pyrotechnic show at 9:15 pm.

Prior to the fireworks beginning, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy live music and purchase a variety of foods from food trucks on site.

The pre-fireworks event will be located at the Guava Street Athletic Complex on 237 W. Guava Street, and it takes place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Additional viewing locations with free public parking include the Rolling Acres Sports Complex, the Lady Lake Public Library, the Log Cabin at Veterans Park, the Snooky Park and the First Baptist Church of Lady Lake.

Public parking is not available at Town Hall or around the launch site.
