KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A Kissimmee woman has been arrested for leaving the scene of a crash in which a pedestrian was killed.
According to The Florida Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Jeannie Petrie was driving northbound on Marigold Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Friday when she struck a man who was attempting to cross the street at San Remo Road.
Troopers say Petrie then ran over the man and left the scene of the crash.
Petrie and her car were later found at her home.
The pedestrian hasn’t been identified, pending notification of his family.
Petrie was arrested and booked into the Osceola County jail on charges that include leaving the scene of a fatal crash and driving with a suspended license.
The crash in still under investigation.
