“He gave his actions forethought and carried through with those actions,” Deputy Chief Beth Holland said. “I think he just had it in his mind that he was going to do this to somebody.”
Pagan’s best friend, Dylan Grecni, said Pagan was quiet and mostly kept to herself. Police said Pagan and Muhammad were old friends who had not talked in a couple of years.

“She was nice, sweet, pretty; she was always understanding,” Grecni said.
According to police, as investigators were interviewing Muhammad, the teen asked them, “How much time will I get for homicide?”
Muhammad would later confess to stabbing Pagan and provided detectives with details and the location of the evidence connected to the crime, according to police.

The Osceola County school district had grief counselors on campus Thursday and will employ them again on Friday for students and staff.
The school district also encourages parents to reach out to their child’s guidance counselor for more assistance.
