KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A 25-year-old Orange County deputy surrendered himself to Kissimmee police Sunday morning, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
The Kissimmee Police Department on Saturday issued an arrest warrant for Orange County Deputy Jamahl Morse in connection with a domestic battery incident, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Jane Watrel said.
Morse has been employed with the Sheriff's Office since June 2017, Watrel said.

"He has been relieved of law enforcement duties and has been assigned to an administrative position pending the outcome of the case," she said.
On Friday, Morse -- who was off duty but who was wearing his badge -- showed up to the nursing school his wife attends to discuss someone who she was possibly dating, according to an arrest report Channel 9 obtained Thursday.
The report said the couple lives together but is in the process of separating.
About 20 minutes into their conversation, Morse told his wife to not return home and grabbed her when she tried to leave, the report said.
"She somehow found her head on Jamahl's lap, facing the roof of her car with Jamahl's arm around her neck," the report said.

The report said he let her go and she went to KPD headquarters after he wouldn't tell her where their children were and threatened to obtain full custody of them.
The woman said the couple has previously fought, but she didn't report the fights to police, the report said.
She told a judge Sunday that she doesn't fear her husband, that she wants him to return home and that she doesn't want the case to be prosecuted.
