Judge rules 15-week abortion ban unconstitutional, but access will still be temporarily restricted

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A judge has ruled the state’s 15-week abortion ban as unconstitutional, but access will be restricted until he writes and signs the order.

The clinics already strained are working double for not only squeezing in last-minute appointments, but booking vasectomies, birth control and counseling.

A big worry is what comes next, and what the laws in place now are.

Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida CEO Stephanie Fraim said nurses are seeing double the amount of patients daily, adding up to about 50 a day at each clinic.

She said due to the constant changes in abortion laws, she’s seen an uptick of people from out of state coming here after the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and even more with the 15-week ban in place this weekend.
