DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A judge is expected to get an update Wednesday on the case against a woman accused of shooting her terminally ill husband in a Volusia County hospital.

Police say 76-year-old Ellen Gilland killed her husband, Jerry, inside AdventHealth in Daytona Beach last year.
They say she also pointed a gun at the officers who responded to the scene before she was arrested.
