ORLANDO, Fla. — It was officially announced on Wednesday that WFTV news director Bob Jordan will be taking his talents to our sister station in Seattle.
Bob will be heading to KIRO Eyewitness 7 after spending the past 10 years at WFTV in his third stint as news director here.
While at WFTV, Bob has helped the station change the landscape of local news coverage in Central Florida, and we’re sure he’ll do the same in the Seattle market, which he knows well after serving as news director at KING-NBC 5 in the ‘90s.
"KIRO 7 is thrilled to welcome Bob Jordan back home to Seattle,” said KIRO 7 General Manager Jay O’Connor. “Great things have followed Bob wherever he's gone through his successful career. KIRO 7 Eyewitness News has incredible momentum and we know Bob Jordan is the right individual to lead our great news staff.”
Bob and his wife, Sharon, are thrilled to begin a new chapter in their lives in the city where their daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren live.
Bob will be greatly missed by the WFTV family, but we wish him nothing but the best in Seattle. He will begin his new post in August.
