TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — There is no magic switch to reopen Florida’s economy, said state Sen. Joe Gruters, R-Sarasota.
"It's not like flipping a switch,” said Gruters, the chair of the Florida Republican Party. "…This will be a step-by-step opening. You're not going to flip a switch and have everybody show up at your doors day one."
That means things like hotels and airlines will have to wait for travel to resume.

Travel won’t resume until conventions and attractions reopen.
And conventions won't return until members and businesses are ready.
“That’s the toughest thing,” Gruters said. “Some of the people that are downstream of them, it’s difficult for them to keep their doors open without the traffic.”
