If you live on a boat, you may be eligible for FEMA hurricane assistance; here’s how to apply

, Fla. — Boat owners are encouraged to apply for Federal Emergency Management Agency assistance if their boat sustained hurricane damage.

If you were living on a boat before and while Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida, you can apply for federal assistance.

Boaters will need to provide a slip or mooring number and the physical address of the dock or marina. A P.O. Box can be used as your mailing address.

Residents of the following counties are eligible:

Brevard

Flagler

Lake

Orange

Osceola

Polk

Seminole

Volusia

The Disaster Recovery Center is accepting applications through its website, in-person at one of the recovery centers, or by calling the helpline at 800-621-3362.
