SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol shut down several lanes of Interstate-4 in Seminole County following a crash Sunday morning.

Investigators said shortly after 7 a.m., a Kia Optima sedan and a Honda HR-V SUV collided in the westbound lanes, coming to rest near the Central Parkway bridge in Altamonte Springs.
Troopers said first responders transported four people to area hospitals.

They included the driver of the Honda, 26, of Maitland, and his male passenger, 52, of Orlando, and the driver of the Kia, 30, and her male passenger, 22, both of Orlando.
Traffic was snarled on a stretch of I-4 for about 5 hours, as troopers investigated the crash.
Troopers cleared all roadblocks in the area by late morning.

FHP did not provide conditions for those who were hurt in the crash, but Seminole County Fire Department said three adults were transported to a local trauma center.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
