ORLANDO, Fla. — Hurricane Tammy strengthened overnight into a Category 2 storm, according to the National Hurricane Center.

As of Wednesday morning, Tammy has maximum sustained winds around 100 mph and is moving northeast at 10 mph.
Tammy is forecast to eventually curve to the northwest and will be near Bermuda this weekend.

The system is projected to quickly weaken over the weekend as it slows down.
By Monday, the system will only have winds around 45 mph.
Thankfully, Tammy is not threatening Florida.
