BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — FEMA workers are spread across Brevard County to reach out to people impacted by Hurricane Ian.

Workers are going door to door, talking to people about the damage left behind by Hurricane Ian.

Brevard County officials said they have received over 4,000 damage claims from residents seeking individual assistance from FEMA.

FEMA teams are giving affected residents information on the type of disaster assistance available, guidance on the application process, and basic updates on people’s application status if they’ve already applied.
The idea is to help those who have uninsured losses from the storm.
