How to celebrate May the 4th in Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — Not so long ago, in theaters everywhere, one movie changed the world.

Star Wars debuted in 1977 and forever impacted the cinema and pop culture landscape. As a result, May 4 every year has become “May the 4th,” an unofficial celebration of all things Star Wars.

There are plenty of opportunities to celebrate May the 4th here in Central Florida. See our list below.

  • SHOTS Bars Orlando will have a Star Wars-themed menu including Mandalorian and Grogu shots. Click here for details.
  • Geeks of Comedy will host “The Roast of Darth Vader” beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Orlando Improv. Click here for details.

  • College Park Gallery will host a Star Wars-themed burlesque show beginning at 8 p.m. Click here for details.
  • Cloak and Blaster will host its annual May the Fourth weekend with themed cocktails and food. Costumes are encouraged. Click here for details.
  • Ember in downtown Orlando will host a May the 4th happy hour. Click here for details.

  • Avalon Park will host a May the 4th-themed Maker’s Markets beginning at 6 p.m. There will be “nerdy” vendors, cosplay and activities. Click here for details.
  • Hop on over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to be fully immersed in Star Wars with Galaxy’s Edge. For May the 4th, Disney has announced new photo opportunities at the park. Click here for details.
