Colon has signed a lease and work is underway to transform the 1,004-square-foot space at 2218 Curry Ford Road into a bodega-style eatery.

“I grew up in the Bronx. I grew up going to bodegas,” said Colon. “Now, if you’ve been to one, you know a real bodega looks like a small grocery store. We’re not going to have all of that. It will be more like a deli with a to-go counter and we’ll have some of the classic sandwiches you would typically find at a New York bodega.”
