The City of DeLand’s 2025 calendar features Henry, also known as “Hank,” named after the city’s founder.
Fire Station 81 gave Hank a permanent home back in 2022, after the then-stray dog wandered into the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the brand new building.
After 30 days of not being claimed, Henry was happy to settle in to his “furever” home with his firefighting family at Station 81.
Since that time, Henry has mostly enjoyed the activities of snacking and napping.

But he’s been pulling his weight recently. After all, starring in a calendar is hard work.
You’ll want to order yours to have in time for holiday stocking stuffers.
100% of the proceeds from calendar sales will benefit the firefighters’ chosen charity — the Childhood Cancer Foundation.
City officials said calendars should be ready for pickup the week of Dec. 16 at DeLand City Hall.
