Here’s when KiteTails ends at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney KiteTails New daytime entertainment is stirring at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, as “Disney KiteTails” comes alive several times daily beginning Oct. 1, 2021, at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Performers fly windcatchers and kites of all shapes and sizes, while out on the water elaborate three-dimensional kites – some stretching to 30 feet long – depict Disney animal friends, including Simba, Zazu, Baloo and King Louie. LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Almost exactly a year after it first took flight, a show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is coming to a close.

Disney KiteTails will have its last performance on Sept. 30, according to the Walt Disney World website.

The show began Oct. 1, 2022, to coincide with Disney World’s 50th anniversary. It features a colorful collection of oversized props based on Disney animal friends from classics such as “The Little Mermaid,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Finding Nemo,” “The Lion King” and “The Jungle Book.”

The show takes place several times a day at the Discovery River Theater near DinoLand U.S.A.
