Here’s what you can save money on during the back-to-school sales tax holiday

ORLANDO, Fla. — Families can take advantage of the back-to-school sales tax holiday this week, especially in times of high inflation.

The sales tax holiday will start Monday and run through Aug. 7.

For two weeks, people can purchase school clothes and supplies exempt from tax, which include supplies under $50 per item, clothing selling for $100 or less and the first $1,500 on personal computers.

Officials with the Florida Department of Revenue said books are not tax-free.

A one-year sales tax exemption on baby and toddler clothes, shoes and diapers will also begin on Monday.
