ORLANDO, Fla. — Editor’s note: This story is available as a result of a content partnership between WFTV and the Orlando Business Journal.

Eustis City Commissioners are open to negotiating for the Lake County Fairgrounds — but not as a development site.

The city has proposed buying the 28.62-acre site at 2101 County Road 452 back from Lake County, to which it had donated the land for its fairgrounds in 1967.

City leaders during an April 20 commission workshop signaled a desire for to city staff to negotiate with the county for the property.
