Here’s how you can honor Betty White this weekend in Central Florida

This weekend, Central Florida will honor the iconic Betty White with movie screenings, fundraisers and more.

White’s 100th birthday would have been Monday. She died on New Year’s Eve.

On Friday at Savoy Orlando, there will be a 100th birthday party and fundraiser in White’s honor. The gay bar will host a Betty White look-alike contest, a raffle, live entertainment, $5 Fireball, live music and more. There is no cover. All proceeds will benefit The Center and the ASPCA.

On Sunday, Enzian Theater in Maitland will host a screening of the 1999 horror comedy “Lake Placid,” which features White in a memorably wicked supporting role, along with a 100th birthday extravaganza. The movie begins at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and a limited supply is still available. Click here to purchase.

On Monday, movie theaters across Central Florida and the rest of the country will screen “Betty White: A Celebration.” The one-hour, 40 minute documentary will celebrate White’s life and legacy on her actual birthday.
