“It will be tough to fill Keanu’s paws. However, I’m sure our yet-to-be-named K-9 will surely live up to his predecessor’s legacy,” Sheriff Rick Staly said.

The sheriff’s office is accepting naming suggestions on its Facebook page. You can click here to comment your ideas.

The new K-9 was donated to the agency by Dr. Caesar DePaço, CEO of Summit Nutritionals International, Inc. The sheriff’s office said DePaço has donated the last nine K-9s to FCSO saving the department over $100,000. Deputies said DePaço has donated 170 K-9s to law enforcement agencies across the U.S. and abroad.
