Here are the Thanksgiving closures and changes to services in your county

ORLANDO, Fla. — Thanksgiving is this week, and services and offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.

Here is a list of what is closed or will have service changes in your area.

Lake County

The following offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday:

-Lake County Board of Commissioners

-Property Appraisers

-Supervisor of Elections

-Tax Collector

-Lake County Extension Center

They will reopen on Monday.

Some services will be affected by the following changes:

There will be no curbside collection on Thanksgiving Day. The county’s solid waste landfill facility will be closed on Thursday but will operate as normal on Friday. Residential convenience centers will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

Lake County Connection and LakeXpress buses will not operate on Thursday. It will resume operations on Friday.

The Lake County Animal Shelter will be closed on Wednesday through Friday and will reopen on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

All Lake County Library System libraries will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Friday.

Leesburg

The city’s offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday and Friday. They will reopen on Monday.

There will not be any garbage, yard waste, and recycling collection on Thursday and Friday, but curbside collection will resume on Monday.

The Leesburg Public Library will close on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and reopen Saturday.

Some city services and payments can be completed online.

Marion County

Ocala

The city of Ocala business offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday. There will be no residential collection for trash, yard waste or recycling on Thursday. The trash collection and recycling will be conducted on Friday.

The SunTran bus system will have reduced hours on Wednesday and will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Operations will be closed on Thursday and resume on Friday. Normal routes run Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
