Showers and lightning will continue across Central Florida into the evening

ORLANDO, Fla. — Sunday will be another hot and muggy day in Central Florida.

5 p.m. Update:

Brief passing showers and lightning will continue across Central Florida through sunset.

Scattered storms shouldn’t last long.

Hot and humid conditions continue through the evening

Monday weather will much the same as Sunday, with heat and humidity. We will also see brief, scattered afternoons storms.

Temperatures will reach the mid-90s, with the index value ranging from 102-107 degrees Sunday afternoon.

We can also expect another round of wet weather throughout the day.

Scattered showers and storms will develop Sunday afternoon and evening, moving southwest to northeast.

Storms could produce 1-2 inches of rainfall, especially near the coast.

The tropics remain quiet.
