ORLANDO, Fla. — After hitting 100 degrees at Orlando Int’l Airport for the first time since 2015, temperatures are cooling for the night, but it’s so humid and steamy once again.

Meteorologist George Waldenberger said we’ll get one more day with an excessive heat warning on Sunday for Orlando and 110-degree heat index numbers.
But in the days that follow, we’ll begin a trend toward less heat and more rain by the mid-end of next week.
Tropics are quiet for now!

Saturday also broke records, tying it for the hottest day since 2000.

What about rain? We’re much drier than normal, but a few spotty storms will hit select locations as the sea breeze moves inland through sunset. Then expect another steamy night tonight.
There is a higher chance of rain tomorrow during the afternoon or early evening, but not everyone will get some.

If your neighborhood gets some well-deserved rain over the next few days, please take cover from any lightning.
The tropics are looking quiet for now, but things will pick up as we get closer to September.
