‘A healthier, stronger & more connected community’: Exercise pad unveiled in Buenaventura Lakes

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Residents in and around Buenaventura Lakes have a new way to incorporate fitness into the new year.

The community recently celebrated the grand opening of a new exercise pad.

It is located at the 65th Infantry Veterans Park in Kissimmee.

Residents are welcome to use the equipment, which includes options for stretching, strength training, and cardio.

County officials said the new fitness station is about more than just exercise.

“It’s about creating a healthier, stronger and more connected community. I hope it inspires residents to prioritize their wellbeing and develop healthy habits that can last a lifetime,” District 2 Commissioner Viviana Janer told Channel 9.

The exercise pad is equipped with the following stations:

  • Sit-Up Bench & Back Extension
  • Variable press
  • Cardio Step Station
  • Balance Ball Station
  • Variable Row station
  • Gymnast rings
  • Assisted Ring Station
  • Swedish Ladder
  • Knee-Lift Dip Station
  • Variable Pull-up Station
  • Step Up Platforms
  • Plyometric Station

Janer added that she hopes the development makes fitness and healthy living more accessible to everyone.

65th Infantry Veterans Park is located at 301 Buenaventura Lakes Boulevard in Kissimmee.
