Fundraiser created to support family of slain reporter Dylan Lyons

ORLANDO, Fla. — GoFundMe accounts have been created to support the families of a TV journalist and 9-year-old girl who were killed in Orange County shootings on Wednesday.

Dylan Lyons, 24, was shot and killed while covering a homicide investigation in the Pine Hills area Wednesday afternoon.

Dylan’s sister Rachel Lyons created the fundraising account to support the family and help pay for funeral services.

Rachel Lyons described Dylan as a devoted son to his parents and a loving uncle to his niece and nephew.

Dylan Lyons’ life was cut shot by a gunman who is accused of shooting five people, killing three.

Dylan Lyons was a reporter for Spectrum News 13 and on the scene of a deadly shooting investigation when he was gunned down.

According to the GoFundMe account, a funeral service for Dylan Lyons will be held next month.

Nathacha Augustin, 38, and T’yonna Major, 9, were also killed by the same shooter, deputies said.

A family member also created a GoFundMe for T’yonna.

“She was a light to everyone that knew her. She was everything to us,” the family member wrote.
