CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — 8 a.m. Update:
SpaceX successfully launched another batch of Starlink satellites into orbit from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The Flacon 9 rocket lifted off during the backup launch window at 12:42 a.m. on Saturday after Friday night’s launch was delayed due to bad weather.

There were 53 Starlink broadband satellites onboard Saturday’s rocket launch.
To date, SpaceX has launch more than 2,300 Starlink satellites

Shortly after the launch the booster rocket landed safely on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

The launch window opens at 11:24 p.m.
A Falcon 9 rocket will carry 53 Starlink satellites into orbit.

The goal of Starlink is to create a network that will help provide internet services to those who are not yet connected, and to provide reliable and affordable internet across the globe, the company said.

Crews said a backup opportunity is planned for Saturday if Friday’s launch is scrubbed.
