WATCH: SpaceX launches rocket carrying Starlink satellites from Space Coast

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket into space Wednesday morning.

The rocket, carrying 53 Starlink satellites, lifted off at 6:59 a.m. from Kennedy Space Center.

The goal of Starlink is to create a network that will help provide internet services to those who are not yet connected, and to provide reliable and affordable internet across the globe, the company said.
