JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis announced today visitations to resume at long-term care facilities throughout Florida.
For months, long-term care facilities in Florida have been on lockdown trying to keep COVID-19 out of the facilities where the most vulnerable live.

The Governor announced the new guidelines during a roundtable in Jacksonville Tuesday.
Some of the new rules:
- Visits will be by appointment only.
- Visitors must wear PPE.
- A maximum of two visitors at a time.
- Minors will not be allowed unless there is a compassionate care exception.
The new rules will take effect immediately.
