Habitat for Humanity begins construction on new homes in Osceola County

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The dream of homeownership is coming true for two families in Kissimmee.

Habitat for Humanity broke ground on two new homes over the weekend.

Officials said the lots will have new energy-efficient homes in only a few weeks.

“It’s an overwhelming feeling words can’t describe to notice I’m finally going to be moving into my own home, you know, having my own keys, something that belongs to me and my family.” Said future homeowner Tannique Muir.

Habitat for Humanity said it works to give local families a fresh start and a place to call home.

This project is part of Habitat for Humanity’s Builders Blitz 2025.

That program provides safe and affordable places to live thanks to volunteers, builders, and donors.
