ORLANDO, Fla. — Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a bill, the New York Times says is the toughest crackdown on undocumented immigration in the U.S.

Employers will now have to use the federal E-Verify service to check the immigration status of an applicant.
It also prevents county governments and non-governmental organizations from using tax dollars to issue ID’s to undocumented immigrants.

And will also invalidate any out-of-state license issued to an undocumented immigrant.
The governor blames states like California for issuing licenses to immigrants.

“At the end of the day. You wouldn’t have the illegal immigration problem if you didn’t have a lot of people facilitating this in our country,” DeSantis said.
The law will also prosecute anyone who transports undocumented immigrants in Florida with five years in jail and a $5,000 fine.
