LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Here we go!
Universal Studios Hollywood announced Thursday that Super Nintendo World will officially open there sometime in 2023.

The immersive land will transport guests into the world of Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach to become part of their compelling universe, Universal said in a news release. It will feature vibrant colors and architectural ingenuity within the expanded area of the park that that will include a “groundbreaking ride and interactive areas” for the whole family, Universal said.

Themed shopping and dining will also be found in the new area.
Universal Studios Hollywood’s Super Nintendo World marks the first to debut in the United States. The original opened at Universal Studios Japan in 2021 to rave reviews.

The announcement was made on what is known as Mario Day, a celebration of the iconic Nintendo character.
Super Nintendo World is rumored to be part of Epic Universe, Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth theme park that opens in early 2025.
