Free workshop in Daytona Beach helps businesses hire Volusia County veterans

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County is hosting a workshop aimed at helping local businesses recruit, hire and retain veterans and military personnel.

The Camouflage to Corporate workshop will be held Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and attendance is free.

According to city officials, more than 50,000 veterans live in Volusia County.

The workshop will cover best practices for hiring veterans and military spouses, workforce partnerships, employer resources and strategies for retaining veterans.

Volusia County Veterans Services is partnering with NXT Mission and CareerSource Brevard, Flagler, and Volusia to present the program.
