OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Osceola County Board of County Commissioners and the Salvation Army teamed up Wednesday to provide students with free backpacks and school supplies during a drive-through event.

Osceola County parents and their children had the opportunity to pick up backpacks filled with everything students need to restart the school year.
The event took place at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee from 10 a.m. to noon, and children had to be present to receive the free school supplies.

Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez, Walmart and Staples also participated in the event.
