Foreign travelers flock to Florida as pandemic travel ban expires

ORLANDO, Fla. — A big boost from tourism is expected at Orlando International Airport.

Foreign travelers will be flocking to Florida once again.

Four international flights are set to land at the airport on Monday, which few would have predicted would stay in place for 20 months.

The U.S. has now dropped the pandemic travel ban.

International travelers will need to show proof of vaccination and a recent negative COVID-19 test.

It’s an important step forward for economic recovery.

Airport officials said the reopening will make for full flights and long lines.
