ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida health officials reported more than 9,400 new COVID-19 cases on Friday as well as 67 deaths.
The new deaths include nine in Central Florida, including three each in Seminole and Polk counties, two in Marion County and one in Brevard County.
Friday’s case number increase was lower than that of the previous 24 hours when Florida hit its highest single-day case record reporting more than 10,100 cases.
The state has now reported a total of 178,594 cases and 3,684 deaths related to the virus.
As of Friday, health officials have reported 1,902,766 negative tests in the state.
