Florida reports more than 7,300 new COVID-19 cases, 64 deaths since yesterday

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida health officials reported more than 7,300 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases in the state to more than 213,000.

The state also reported an additional 64 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 3,841.

Five of the most recent deaths were reported in Central Florida, including two in Lake County and one each in Volusia, Brevard and Polk counties.

Statewide, health officials reported that more than 2 million people have tested negative to the virus since the pandemic began, including 27,907 in the past 24 hours.
