ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida health officials reported 11,682 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.
This comes after back-to-back days with more than 13,000 cases reported in the state.
In total, Florida has now reported 1,193,165 total cases since the start of the pandemic.

Of the total new documented cases, 2,373 were in Central Florida. Orange County reported the most local cases with 790.
Health officials also confirmed on Saturday that Florida has collected more than 7 million negative COVID-19 results from testing. That state’s total for negative tests is now at 7,020,992, after 40,683 were added in the new report.
State records also show that 74 new COVID-19-related deaths were reported on Saturday, including two people who were not Florida residents.
Florida has now reported 20,764 deaths in the state that are related to the virus.
Of the new deaths reported, 25 were in Central Florida.

Orange County reported 10 new deaths, and five new deaths were reported in both Sumter and Brevard counties.
The United States added a record of nearly a quarter million coronavirus cases in the past day.
Health experts says the record could increase as cases surge in various parts of the country and health care systems struggle to keep up.

Along with 249,709 new cases, there were an additional 2,814 reported deaths nationwide in the past 24 hours.
