Florida reports another 120 deaths linked to coronavirus as death toll surpasses 14K

ORLANDO, Fla. — State health officials on Friday announced 120 additional deaths from illness linked to COVID-19.

Florida’s death toll now stands at 14,081.

Friday’s data also showed 2,847 new cases of the virus, compared to 2,541 cases noted on Thursday.

Since the pandemic began, the number of coronavirus cases recorded statewide totals 695,887 .

Of the latest 120 deaths in Florida, 26 involved Central Florida residents, including eight in Marion County, six in Polk County, four each in Orange and Lake counties and one each in Osceola, Brevard, Volusia and Sumter counties.

To date, the number of negative tests recorded by state health officials totals 4,510,107, an increase of 23,648 since Thursday.

Orange: 39,717 (+157) - 444 deaths (+4)

Osceola: 12,354 (+66) - 145  deaths (+1)

Seminole: 8,946 (+37) -  207 deaths (+0)

Polk: 19,647 (+96) - 526 deaths (+6)

Volusia: 10,738 (+49)  - 239 deaths (+1)

Brevard: 8,728 (+92) - 291 deaths (+1)

Flagler: 1,715 (+11) - 23 deaths (+0)

Lake: 7,420 (+26) -  188 deaths (+4)

Marion: 9,626 (+36) - 274 deaths (+8)

Sumter: 2,210 (+5) -  66 deaths (+1)
