Florida reports 2,800 new COVID-19 cases, 39 virus-related deaths

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida reported an additional 2,862 coronavirus cases on Monday.

Of those cases, 648 were reported in Central Florida.

On Monday, the state also reported an additional 39 virus-related deaths in the state.

Of those deaths, 10 were reported in Central Florida, including eight in Orange County.

The latest deaths bring the state’s total death toll to 33,408.

Since the pandemic began, the state has now reported more than 2 million cases of the virus.
