Car crashes are the leading cause of teenage deaths, but these could be prevented.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, beginner teen drivers are likelier than adult drivers to be involved in a fatal crash due to a lack of experience and knowledge of how to react when feeling unsafe on the road.
Melissa Valido, Executive Director of the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition, is excited to receive the grant.
“With this funding, we can continue to make a positive impact on the safety of Florida’s roads by providing education and resources to parents, teens, and law enforcement,” she said.
