ORLANDO, Fla. — While many were celebrating the start of a new year, others were waiting to become parents and bring a new life into 2023.

Two families had new additions made just minutes after 2023 began.
These two were the first babies of the New Year born in Central Florida:

Oliver
Baby Oliver became the first boy born in Brevard County, coming in at 7lbs, 7 ounces, and 19.5 inches long.
Oliver was born at Cape Canaveral Hospital at 12:17 a.m.
He is the first child to parents Josh and Ashley!

Olivia
Olivia became the first baby girl in Central Florida, weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz. and measuring 18″ long.
She was born at 12:23 a.m. at the Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.
In honor of her birth, the Central Florida Diaper Bank donated diapers for a year to the family.

Shabinsky
This baby boy became the first baby delivered by AdventHealth for the new year.
Shabinsky Guerrier was born at 3:04 a.m. weighing 8 pounds, 9.6 ounces, and is 21 inches long.
His parents Kettia Maxi and dad Jean Guerrier were Orlando natives.
